Improving Health, Housing, Education and Livelihood of the Poor in the Philippines (a 501c3 )Foundation

Picture
August 2015 — IHHELPP harvested IHHELPP Board Members call this first harvest a miracle.

Dominic Bangal, IHHELPP Philippines Board Member,  spearheaded the harvest of prawns, king crabs, shrimps, and milkfish, together with the Dimlas and fishpond workers.

The fish pond is envisioned  to be a major livelihood program for the poor in the area.

“Several months ago IHHELPP made a down-payment on a 5 acre fish pond in the Philippines with the idea that the balance owed on the fish pond would come from the proceeds of the sale of the prawns, crabs and milk fish.

None of us IHHELPP board members had any experience of running a fishery and it was a very scary venture because if the project failed, many of the needy Filipinos we are trying to help in the area would suffer even more. We are grateful for ALL of the volunteers who helped make the harvest a success!

Some of the people we hope to help have  already lost their homes, jobs, and even loved ones due to typhoons and high unemployment. IHHELPP's mission is to continue to bring livelihood and hope to the poor people of that country.  Thank you very much for all of your love!”
