Rene G. Doria, MS: BS Math, BYU-Hawaii; MS in Statistics, BYU-Provo. Investment Analyst; CFA Charter Holder; teaching statistics in higher education for the last 30 years, served a full-time LDS mission in the Philippines for 2 years.
Jenneth B. Doria, DNP, MS RN: BSN, University of the Philippines College of Nursing; MS University of Utah, DNP; Chatham University. George and Delores Eccles Fellow. Member, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Assistant Clinical Professor, University of Utah. With 32 years of nursing practice in acute care and behavioral care settings. Founded Manila Development and Manila Basketry. Utah Asian Chamber of Commerce Awardee. A mother of 7 children, humanitarian, educator, & social entrepreneur.
Paul Staples: BS in Human Resource Development, , Real Estate Broker and Investor, Hawaii and Illinois; extensive background in real estate sales, contract negotiations and customer service; Bishop of an LDS BYU-Hawaii Ward, Served as a volunteer for over 20 years helping the youth and as an employment specialist helping people find jobs. A husband, father, grandfather, volunteer, entrepreneur, and a friend of BYU students and everyone he meets.
Lolita Staples: Three years of college, performed accounting responsibilities for over 10 years in real estate office preparing taxes, budgets and handling real estate investments, served as a volunteer helping young women with challenges, volunteered as an office manager for an LDS Employment Resource Center. A wife, mother, grandmother, dear friend, entrepreneur, and a head full of livelihood project ideas.
Emmie Comer-Bigler, DNP MS RN: BSN University of Cebu College of Nursing; MS University of Utah; DNP, Chatham University. Lawson Scholar. A nurse, educator, and humanitarian who is passionate about relief of suffering, and making a difference in the lives of people she meets. She recognizes the value of work and service as some of the secrets to fulfillment and happiness in life. She is amazed and grateful to so many generous individuals and organizations who have supported her many humanitarian projects throughout the years.
Aida Mattingley: Professional teacher-librarian; initiated the Filipino Fireside; "community servant" for 38 years: served as Chair/Pres: Utah Humanities Council, Bountiful Davis Art Center, Governor Asian Council, SLCW, PPGC, etc.; board member: state & city/ art councils, Zoo Arts & Parks, 2002 Olympic Arts & Cultural Advisory, USOE, etc. Recipient of Governor’s awards, YWCA, Hall of Fame: featured: in 2002 Olympic project: Utah Women of achievement, Past and present; Book: Profiles of Notable Filipino Americans; Filipino Americans from 1763 to the Present, their History, Culture and Traditions, by Velti Cesar Bautista, etc.
Steve Johnson, MBA: Steve graduated with a Bachelor and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University. He has 32 years of work experience in Aerospace and has worked for multiple Aerospace companies around the country overseeing business activities in Europe, Latina America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. He has lived and studied in Europe and Asia. He currently oversees all business activities in the Asia Pacific region. Steve is the father of 3 grown children. Steve also has an extensive experience working with and serving as a board member for several non-profit organizations. He has been serving exclusively in the IHHELPP organization since 2022. Steve is a father, business man, gardener, servant, and an enthusiastic volunteer.
Sheralyn Watt, RN: Sheralyn's love of the Philippines and its people began when she served as a volunteer missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Philippines Davao Mission, on the island of Mindanao from May 1982 to November 1983. As a nurse while on her mission, she not only did proselyting, but also received welfare service assignments. She graduated with her licensed practical nursing (LPN) degree in 1981 from Utah Technical College (now UVU) and an associate nursing degree (RN) in 1985 from Weber State College (now WSU). She has worked in all fields within nursing, and currently works for a large hospital in Utah County. She is a recipient of the "2022 Healthcare Hero" Award from AMH Foundation. The IHHELPP team has been privileged to work with her since 2018 as a member of the gala committee. Sheralyn is grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve on the Board for IHHELPP. Sheralyn is a mother, true friend, caring nurse, ready & eager volunteer, & a social butterfly with vast social connections.
